Pete Bing and Dianne Goldman

Pete Bing was elected ASSU President in April 1954, with 1,695 votes. Dianne Goldman was elected as the ASSU Vice President with 1,780 votes, in an election that The Stanford Daily hailed as having a "record turnout." Today, Dianne Goldman is better known as U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat representing California for over 28 years. Before becoming a US Senator, she was also the Mayor of San Francisco, CA for ten years.
